Our congregation functions with paid staff members,
lay leaders, and volunteers.
Rev Chris Heinold is the full-time pastor who has served Shiner Lutheran since June 2019, bringing with him a decade of experience and the desire to continue his work in rural ministry.
Daniel Volkmann is attending Wartburg Seminary full time through distance learning while serving part-time at Shiner Lutheran on staff as a pastor-in-training with the title of Vicar. This four-year path to ordination is a relatively new approach called collaborative learning.
Minister of Worship and Music:
Ronnie Bruns serves in this part-time staff position, helping to plan worship and coordinate musicians, choral groups, hand chimes, and instrumentalists.
In this part-time position, Sharon Jaks coordinates the church office including parish records, calendar, facility use, and communications.
Sandy Machacek helps with office hours and other duties in a part time staff position.
Serving part-time as bookkeeper, Juanita Lucke manages bill paying, budget, and financial reports.
Tammy Guettner handles weekly custodial duties on a part-time basis.
Our congregation is guided by an elected Church Council that oversees the operation and mission of our congregation.
