Shiner Lutheran Church

Worship Services

Our Sunday worship services follow a traditional Lutheran pattern of worship, but you can expect the flavor of the service to vary from week to week. We embrace different musical settings and instrumentation - from polka and country Gospel to youth led or more traditional organ or piano. Our communion table is open to all Christian believers, so you will be invited to receive communion or simply be blessed. As you enter the Sanctuary from the Gathering Place, you'll see a special area for younger children - we welcome children and value their participation. A nursery and restroom is located in the back of the church for the very young. Worship words are projected on screens, so the pattern of worship can be easily followed. Come casually dressed or in your "Sunday best" but in any case open your heart and join us in worship. Sunday services usually last about an hour.

What to Expect

Entering the building from Avenue B through the courtyard or coming from the parking lot, you will enter a fellowship room called the Gathering Place. There is a wall of glass that leads into the worship area called the Sanctuary. If you need to access the office, there is a direct entrance from the courtyard near Avenue B or you may follow the hallways from the Gathering Place.

Handicapped Access

We are wheelchair accessible with handicapped parking spaces found by the office, the playground, and in the parking lot, where there is a ramped handicapped entrance. The education wing has a handicapped restroom. For worship, we have flexible seating that includes chairs with arms and special headphones for the hearing impaired.
